Assists in the design and development of experiments, including the
development and validation of new methodologies. Directs all
aspects of the translational--and clinical--research--laboratory
environment. Assists in clinical specimen processing, analyses and
preparation of data for publication and presentation, generation of
clinical reports and provides support to primary
- Oversees and directs all aspects of immunobiology analyses
required in the department, including basic science and clinical
- Assists other laboratory staff with the completion of
- Teaches theoretical and practical aspects of chemical analyses
to other staff members.
- Oversees the laboratory environment, such as, safety
procedures, record logs, ordering of supplies.
- Comply with CLIA/CAP requirements for clinical testing.
- Teaches others how to use equipment, and schedules the use of
the equipment to complete experiments.
- Establishes, develops and validate new methodologies for
immunobiology and cytometry analyses.--Physical RequirementsWill be
exposed to chemical solutions. Works in a laboratory environment
and interacts with people at many professional/technical
levels.Education, Experience and CertificationsBachelors Degree
required. Masters Degree preferred. 3 years of experience in
related scientific field preferred. Ability to calculate and
formulate chemical solutions, experience with pertinent equipment,
and familiarity with techniques for examining oxygen free radicals,
