Job Description:

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking an Electrician for a 10-month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.

Compensation: $31.25 per hour

The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typical electrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining or repairing electrical equipment.

Job Responsibilities: Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order.
Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools.
Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.


Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree or certification preferred.
5-10 years in building/equipment maintenance with experience in mechanical and electrical systems
Basic maintenance skills, light plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, ability to operate HVAC controls
Emergency Generators
Emergency Lighting
07 Electrical License required
Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Ability to use Microsoft office / smart phone
Possess valid DL
Fluent in English
