Knitting & Weaving Technician8:00am-4:00pm
Monday-Friday(Training from 12:00pm-8:00pm occasionally until fully
trained)#What Production Set-up and Maintenance contributes to
Cardinal HealthManufacturing is responsible for cost of production
and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply
chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and
engagement, and environmental commitment.Sets up, aligns, monitors,
and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform
maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in
assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other
equipment.Responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing machines in Knitting Department,
including Conform Knit and Finish, Backwinder, and assist with
Warper.
- Maintaining and repairing machines in Weaving Department,
including Looms, tie machines, and related equipment.
- Monitor and Maintain Knitting and Weaving machines, status,
correcting flag conditions and placing machines back into
production quickly.
- Organize and maintain records of production and
maintenance.
- Change Knitting and Weaving machines to produce different sizes
as required by schedule.
- Keep an updated log on all machines.
- Lease, pull and prepare yarn for tie end.
- Operate tie machine.
- Disassemble and reassemble shafts, bearings, gears, etc..
- Perform quality checks and fill out appropriate paperwork.
- Repair large breakouts as needed.
- Maintain miscellaneous supplies as needed.
- Maintain daily production records.
- Assist in moving pallets using material handling
equipment.Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferredWhat is expected of you and

- Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of
tasks
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of
responsibility
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and
certifications
- Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring
judgment in resolving issues
- May assist in recommendation of processes on new
assignments
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works with limited supervision
- Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or
supervisor
- May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less
