Job Description:
Opportunity: We are an Extrusion coating manufacturing operation
seeking a Production Manager to join our Prosperity, South Carolina
team. Job Summary: The primary responsibility is to work directly
with and lead a production workforce of approximately 5-7 direct
reports and 20-40 indirect employees. The incumbent will oversee
the day to day management for all aspects of the production
operation with safety as a top priority, assuring that product is
produced in accordance with operating targets. He or she ensures
compliance with established customer quality and production
standards. Job functions include but are not limited to the
following: Lead the production department to safely deliver the
facility's commitment to the environment, quality, production and
EBITDA results while ensuring the facility adheres to Graphic
Packaging's core values (Integrity, Respect, Accountability,
Relationships and Teamwork). Demonstrate unyielding use of Work
Systems and continuous improvement tools, including Six-Sigma, 5S,
LEAN Manufacturing, etc. Demonstrate situational leadership in the
implementation of problem solving strategies and execution of key
performance objectives in the production of finished products.
Improve productivity while continuously improving quality and
reducing customer complaints through the identification and
implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Partner with HR to hire, train and evaluate direct reports and
hourly production personnel and develop talent to build bench
strength and succession planning. Assess employee performance and
take corrective action as necessary in accordance with company
policy. Increase labor efficiency and utilization, including
staffing and overtime. Drive and support a high performance culture
through employee involvement initiatives and practices while
building and maintaining productive and engaged relationships with
direct reports and hourly personnel. Preparation of budgets and
standards for cost measurement. Support the goals and initiatives
of all departments in the plant. Effectively communicate up and
down the organization on key issues. Ensures completion of all
paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc. Other duties as assigned.
Fulfills duties of Plant Manager in their absence (vacations,
meetings, training) on an as needed basis. Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree. MBA preferred and 5-8 years of management
experience/leadership experience in the pulp and paper industry or
similar manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. Knowledge of extrusion is a plus. Proven
leadership and management ability in manufacturing. Demonstrated
knowledge of budgets. Demonstrated ability to facilitate process
improvement teams. Skills Effective written and verbal
communication skills. Effective strategic planning, problem
solving, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Computer skills,
including the use of Microsoft Office Software. Strong business
acumen and operations based financial analysis skills. Exhibit
proven ability to self-manage in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership, and
problem-solving skills. Experience with managing a non-union
environment. Physical Requirements Sitting or standing for extended
periods of time up to 8 hours. Occasional lifting up to 20lbs.
Reading computer screen or other electronic devices. Use of various
office, hand and electrical tools or equipment, Work in areas of

Problem Solving Managing though Systems Schedule Demands General
schedule is Monday-Friday during normal business hours but includes
early mornings, nights and/or weekends and must be punctual while
doing so. Occasional travel is required which includes flying.
