investors.The Proprietary Funds Valuation & Execution team is
responsible for overseeing and executing the daily functions of the
Bridge Builder Mutual Funds and Edward Jones Money Market Fund, as
well as provide meaningful contributions to the evolution of
features and benefits to improve the funds experience and deliver
value to our clients. As a member of the team, you will be
interacting with multiple asset management teams and service
providers in the industry, as well as stakeholder across Edward
Jones.
Responsibilities include -
- Perform daily pricing and valuation activities and processes
for affiliated mutual funds:
- Provide manual price instruction for required portfolio
holdings;
- investigate price changes that exceed specified tolerance
levels;
- work with price vendors fund advisers and third-party brokers
to confirm and challenge valuations and resolve pricing issues as
they arise;
- escalate pricing issues as needed; Develop valuation models
based on market data and security/issue comparables and provide
valuation recommendations, as needed
- Design and perform price back-testing and price confirmation
based on portfolio transactions and market data; Design and conduct
ongoing risk and materiality analysis of fund holdings
- Design, build and prepare management reports related to pricing
and valuation for affiliated mutual funds: monthly reports for
valuation committee; quarterly reports for fund board
- Perform daily investment restriction monitoring to ensure that
affiliated mutual funds are in compliance with the Investment
Company Act of 1940, the fund's prospectus, and the investment
mandates; Research exception reports and resolve issues in
partnership with portfolio managers, compliance and external
partners
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics,
mathematics or related field
- Securities licenses Series 7 and Series 66 required within 6
months of hire
- Three years of related experience
- Experience and knowledge of investment management data and / or
technology, including security reference data, pricing and
valuation processes and trading data
- Knowledge of Investment Company Act of 1940 is a plus, as well
as knowledge of mutual fund prospectus rules
- Experience with an asset manager or asset management services
firm and utilizing investment compliance monitoring or trading
tools is a plus
- Experience and knowledge of market data applications, including
Bloomberg, IDC Vantage and Charles River
