Functional NeurosurgeonAll RanksAll TracksThe University of Missouri Department of Neurosurgery is currently recruiting a neurosurgeon specializing in Functional Neurosurgery.--As the only Level I Trauma Center in the community, neurosurgeons at the University of Missouri and MU Health Care deliver comprehensive neurosurgical care for patients suffering from brain and spine tumors, aneurysms and cerebrovascular disease, spine disorders, peripheral nerve disorders, pediatric neurological disorders, epilepsy, and movement and functional disorders.--Our office and clinics span MU--Health Care locations, including--,--,--,--,----and the--.--Responsibilities & Details:--

• Successful candidates will have a desire to engage in the academic mission of the Department of Neurosurgery through excellence in clinical care, education, and innovation.
• Candidates will provide general and pediatric neurosurgery on-call coverage
• Contribute to resident selection and evaluation
• Participate in resident and medical education through supervision in the clinical setting and operating room, as well as through academic curriculum development; and involvement in clinically relevant research and scholarship.--
• Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.Requirements:--
  • Focus in deep brain stimulation--for patients with movement disorders, as well as those patients with epilepsy and facial pain.
  • Board-certified/Board-eligible in Neurosurgery
