Be a part of an opportunity to help scale the Edward Jones
Enterprise Data Governance capability within the firm's growing
Digital Data organization. The data governance vision is to ensure
data is consistently structured, organized, and maintained to
support firm decisions and help our clients. Our purpose is to lead
a data-centric firm in driving adoption of data governance to
maximize the value, quality, trust and understanding of our data
for the benefit of clients, branches, and the firm - at scale.
The Team Lead for Data Cleanup Factory will be responsible for the
activation and ongoing support for a new data governance
operational execution team that will provide hands-on support of
data cleansing and maintenance efforts at the firm. This role will
lead a team of external on/offshore consultants and partner with
internal data stakeholders to execute data migration efforts off
legacy platforms and address both backend and branch-facing data
needs.
This role will report to the Director of Data Governance and be a
member of the Data Governance leadership team.
What you'll do:
- Lead activation of a new Data Cleanup Factory service within
Data Governance service offerings and build the team of external
consultants. Examples of responsibilities include:
- Make sure the data platforms and processes are running well,
both in data collection, integration and processing
- Monitor and manage data quality processes and data
integrations
- Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of all the data
exchange and data solution processes
- Responsible for the quality and security of data
- Ensure the quality of service; responsible for user support and
coordination with other service teams
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Iron out technical issues and/or help in technical or
operational improvement, escalate to appropriate product or
stewardship teams
- Document data operations and monitoring solutions in clear,
concise guides
- Leverages deep understanding of data governance, data
management, and emerging technologies to drive the definition and
continued evolution of an enterprise data operational support team
based upon strategic business objectives, existing and future
capabilities, cultural considerations and a general understanding
of governance models/techniques across the organization's data
systems.
- Collaborate with stewards, leaders, data owners, technology,
product teams, change management, and other stakeholders across the
organization to align the execution of scalable and reliable data
solutions, support system integration efforts, and create
operational efficiencies through automation and process
improvements.
- Engages in strategic planning with business and technology
stakeholders, to provide direction, guidance or recommendations on
technology and architectural considerations.
- Define KPI's for measuring the effectiveness of the data clean
up activities, value delivered, and completed milestones.
- Provide appropriate guidance, education, training, and
communication to all relevant stakeholders
- What you'll need:
- 10+ years of experience in roles related to data governance
and/or operations. Relevant business/data analyst, legal, or
security experience will be considered.
- Experience leading data governance/data operations initiatives
in either an enterprise or local environment.
- Strong experience leading hybrid onshore-offshore teams
- Experience working with and influencing business leaders in
promotion of consistent principles and standards.
- Comfortable working through ambiguous situations to define
precise requirements and priorities and drive actionable
outcomes.
- Comfort around upper management. Ability to effectively present
to senior leadership across the organization. Exceptional
stakeholder management skills.
- High levels of learning agility. Desire and ability to seek out
new learning opportunities and effectively apply those learnings in
pursuit of superlative performance. What sets you apart:
- Financial Services industry experience desired. Asset
management or broker-dealer industry experience
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, privacy, compliance,
computer science, analytics or related field

range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is
based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors
for a potential new associate:
