This position is located in Greenville, SC.As an -Operations
Technology Specialist, -you will play a key role in the support and
expansion of the automation and predictive controls capabilities of
our engineered wood (OSB) manufacturing network. - This is an
exciting role that covers a broad range of systems (servers,
networking, virtualization), but specifically as it applies to
manufacturing processes within the realm of operational technology
(OT). - There is much opportunity to learn on the job, plus formal
training is available. - If you are a go-getter with an
intermediate IT skill set who is eager to learn, broaden your skill
set into OT, and grow your career, then this role is for you:
- Working with technology both in server rooms and manufacturing
plant floors
- Manufacturing plant network design/modification and
documentation (wired and wireless)
- Firewall configuration, maintenance and monitoring
- Server & storage cluster deployments and support
- VMware-based virtualization platform deployments and
support
- Windows servers and client support (virtual and physical)
- Performance monitoring and troubleshooting (networks,
servers)
- Large-scale camera deployment support
- Rockwell-based technology supportThe ideal candidate will have:
- A strong work ethic with a go-getter attitude
- A willingness to learn and be technology savvy
- Ability to work well as a team in a highly collaborative
environment, as well as work independently
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent prior
experience
- Experience with VMware, Windows, Cisco networking, and other
computer science fundamentals
- Experience with FactoryTalk Industrial Automation Software is
highly favorable
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the OSB manufacturing
process
- The ability to visualize physical processes to remotely assist
field personnel in set up and troubleshooting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including
ability to interpret and disseminate technical info to a wide range
of skill sets and support roles
- A willingness to travel to various locations across North
