Advantage Tech is looking for an Information Security Architect to work hybrid remote for a client located in Columbia, Missouri. This is a full-time, direct hire position and candidates will need to be local to Columbia, MO. (Not available for C2C)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide strategic direction related to emerging information security and data privacy risks, advancements in information security control technologies, changes in legislation, regulation and accreditation standards that impact information security.
• Develop, implement, communicate and administer appropriate security initiatives, policies and standards relating to the protecting the confidentiality, security, accessibility and integrity of the company's information assets.
• Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats.
• Create solutions that align enterprise security architecture frameworks
• Lead or coordinate internal and external information security risk assessments to ensure the safety of information system assets and to protect information systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
• Identify, evaluate and report on information security risks in a manner that satisfies compliance and regulatory requirements, reduces risk and improves productivity.
• Analyze and advise on the risk and remediation of security issues based on reports from vulnerability assessments and emerging threat information.
• Design, implement and coordinate the testing of information security disaster recovery and incident response plans. Perform audits of these plans and coordinate corrective action as appropriate.
• Offer strategic direction related to security measures applicable to other business functions as appropriate, including physical security / facilities, risk management, information technology, human resources, legal.
• Develop and implement training programs and educational opportunities to promote information security awareness throughout the organization.
• Define, create and maintain documentation for certification and accreditation of all information systems in accordance with government requirements.
• Provide input on security requirements to be included in request for proposals (RFPs), statements of work (SOWs), and other procurement documents.
• Work with outside consultants as appropriate for independent security audits.
• Other duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of five years' experience in information security management, audit, risk or internal controls.
  • Knowledge of information security risks and countermeasures under GLBA, PCI, ISO and other leading information security and control frameworks.
  • Knowledge of application firewall concepts and functions (e.g. single point of authentication enforcement, data anonymization, DLP scanning, SSL security).
  • Work experience in cybersecurity designs for systems, networks, and multi-level security requirements or requirements for processing multiple classification levels of data.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, documentation and time management skills.
  • Experience with preparing and presenting analysis, findings and recommendations.
  • Excellent teaching, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Strong information security architecture design and implementation skills.
      • CISSP, CISA, CISM, or other relevant security related designation(s)
      • Certifications in CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF, or SABSA considered an asset.
