Position Overview: American Outdoor Brands is proud to create some of the industry's most popular products for enthusiasts across many outdoor recreational activities. As an established leader in the outdoor space, we strive to hire the most passionate employees that understand the needs of our consumer base. Reporting to the eTechnology Manager, the eTechnology Support Specialist will be a key member of the eCommerce and Marketing team. In this role, you will act as key project support for spearheading the technical implementation of American Outdoor Brand's Global Direct-to-Consumer platform. Once deployed you will assume the support role for our newly implemented D2C platform and act as an expert that is capable of stepping in to address any and all business needs or updates, applying marketing technology to those requirements to form processes, and working to enhance those processes through the process of automation. You will zealously advocate the feature set of this platform to business users by providing use cases pushing the platform to its very limits. This position requires you to hit the ground running and the ability to work from past experience is critical.

Education and Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience managing and implementing complex systems at the global level
  • BA in Computer Science, or a related field OR equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience implementing eCommerce, ERP, and WMS/TMS systems
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and planning EDI
  • Demonstrated experience implementing cloud-based technologies
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects

Competencies and Skills:

  • Advanced quantitative skills, including expert level skills in Excel, data validation, and reporting analysis. Must possess the ability to work with large sets of data, extract relevant insights, and build a compelling narrative around those insights for a non-technical audience
  • Advanced understanding and use of Google Webmaster Tools, Google Search Console, Google Analytics
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical support for our world class Direct-to-Consumer platform
  • Act as the Direct-to-Consumer platform subject matter expert, support end users, and interpret business requirements
  • Acting as the project manager lead at times in support of the eTechnology manager to aid in technical implementation of our Direct-to-Consumer platform:

o Experience in designing and delivering complex projects based on common ERP and eCommerce Platforms (from initial scoping through delivery)

o Strong understanding and experience implementing various Project Management methodologies (agile, scrum, etc.)

o Experience analyzing and determining project risk and implementing remediation plans to address that risk. Escalates risk, to internal stakeholders, when necessary

o Manage and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, business users, and external partners through communication of KPIS.

o Act as a liaison between eCommerce and IT stakeholders

  • Oversee marketing automation efforts:

o In collaboration with the eCommerce managers architect and support continual process improvements to reduce costs, increase revenue and optimize cycle times including working with automation:

o Define customized and purposeful marketing automation strategies support eCommerce, Marketing, and Customer Service needs

  • Oversee site operations and report findings to eTechnology Manager:

o Monitor uptime and functionality

o Troubleshoot production issues and resolve complex issues across multiple systems

o Implement business requirements in collaboration with eCommerce, marketing, sales, and customer service teams

o Manage integration services of 3rd party software

o Maintain the CRM

o Act as a liaison between eCommerce and IT stakeholders

o Manage support cases with internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience overseeing security and compliance projects and remediating issues for PCI 1, Sarbanes and Oxley, etc.
  • Pen test platform on demand.
  • Work safely, and report any safety hazards immediately
  • Maintain good housekeeping in personal area and all commons areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • General office environment

  • Outdoor environment for marketing purposes

Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:

  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor

The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
