Tracking Code USATC-21-0438-F Job Code 21-0438 Posting Title Personnel Assistant II Post Date 4/2/2021 Full Time / Part-Time Full Time Pay Rate $19.03 Travel No Travel Required City Fort Jackson State SC Country US Description PERSONNEL ASSISTANT (EMPLOYMENT) II (USATC-21-0438-F): Bowhead seeks a Appliance Mechanic to support the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort Jackson, SC. This position serves as a clerical expert in independently processing the most complicated types of personnel actions, e.g., temporary employment, rehires, and dismissals. In this position, one may perform tasks beyond routine clerical such as: pre-employment drug screening and new hire orientation, responding to routine questions on policy and procedures, and/or provide reports on employee turnover or time and attendance. The Personnel Assistant II may provide guidance to lower level Personnel Assistants. This level requires extensive knowledge of various office software packages. Guidance is provided as needed. Completed written work receives close technical review from higher-level personnel office employees. Work may be checked occasionally. Essential functions will include: Distributes documents, assembles forms, provides instructions for shipping Privately Owned Vehicles (POVs) overseas, obtains statements from customer with attempted pickup or delivery, prepares daily statistical reports, receives visitors and refers to correct person. Submits request to SDDC for solicitation of mobile home carrier. Notifies members when bid is received to inform of excess costs owed. Keeps in daily contact with the member until home arrives at destination. Ensures overseas household goods are routed in accordance with the International Through Government Bills of Lading (ITGBL) procedures based on lowest cost/best value and members' needs. Requirements --- High school Diploma or GED required --- A familiarity with the military is preferred but not required --- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts --- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team --- Experience with Microsoft Physical Demands: Light physical effort is used in reaching, bending, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs. Moderate physical effort is required in the frequent handling of objects weighing up to 25 pounds SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the Pubic Trust level. US Citizenship is required for a Public Trust clearance at this location. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
