FN America LLC is a US subsidiary of FN Herstal SA a global leader in the development and manufacturing of high quality reliable firearms for military law enforcement and commercial customers worldwide Headquartered in McLean Virginia with manufacturing operations in Columbia South Carolina FN America is passionately committed to providing its customers with a portfolio of FN branded products training and support services that enhance user performance and safeguard their lives For more information visit us at or follow us on Facebook Twitter and Instagram Position Summary The Server Administrator III is a senior member of the Systems Development Team that engages the FN organization to configure develop and manage systems that facilitate improved business processes Job Duties Based on an understanding of customer requirements implements administers and develops within a variety of virtual environments Office 365 Exchange Active Directory and other assigned applications with little to no supervision Leads system development integration and implementation of projects through programming testing and documentation Often involves development andor configurations that integrate two or more applications Develops and configures application documentation Performs systems administration tasks such as user support tuning and configuration to ensure systems are accessible and meet the needs of the business Leads systems integration to improve business support processes using the appropriate technology Writes advanced PowerShell scripts for server management Manages third party resources participating in software development projects Collaborates with internal customers to establish Statements of Work SOWs for all development processes Contributes to IT security initiatives utilizing application and network security tools and policies Troubleshoots advances network issues through route and firewall switching across LAN and WAN Architects and builds supporting networks connectivity and functionality for additional Virtual Desktop Industry 40 addition to locations VPN etc Maintains the Disaster Recovery Plan architecting orchestration and executing the testing of the system Designs and executes the Vulnerability and Patch Management Plan Routinely monitors and tunes network for efficiency Orchestrates disaster recovery and performs disaster recovery exercises Other duties as assigned by management Educational Requirements Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or related field required Masters degree in computer science preferred Experience Requirements Six years experience in server or related experience in Windows Experience with Linux Microsoft Exchange Cisco switch advanced network topologies network architecture and development or experience managing a virtual server environment using VMWare and Acropolis preferred Skills and Competencies All FN America employees are expected to demonstrate accountability collaboration communication customer focus and innovation Additional requirements of this position include Ability to build an exchange in a hybrid environment Understanding of Office 365 deployment and security Ability to troubleshoot network routing issues and identify possible root causes for issues and bottlenecks in the network Ability to configure and set up physical and virtual firewalls Ability to develop automation tools for spooling up development environments Understanding of TCPIP DNS SMTP iMap POP Ability to integrate systems using RESTful APIs Must understand network topology and infrastructure Ability to architect a network with multiple locations at layer 2 Ability to perform all assigned tasks with a customer service oriented attititude Demonstrated ability to quickly perform independent research and troubleshooting techniques but also willing to ask questions when necessary Initiative to take ownership of assignments without instructions Tools Backup and recovery utilities such as Unitrends Active Directory Varonis PowerShell Microsoft SQL LicensesCertifications Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert MCSA or MCSE or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer MCSD preferred Working Conditions Typical office environment with some travel between buildings and to other locations required All FN America employees have a responsibility to participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and to comply with instructions given for their own safety and health and that of others Equal Employment OpportunityMFdisabilityprotected veteran status FN America LLC is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to individuals with physical and mental disabilities If you need special assistance or an accommodation while seeking employment please email HRFNAmericacom or call 803 736 0522 We will make a determination on your request for reasonable accommodation on a case by case basis VEVRAA Federal Contractor
