Comfortable setting up and operating manual lathes? Experienced with cylindrical grinding—especially rubber rolls? Confident using a pi tape and tape measure to verify tight tolerances? Able to record inspection data on a computer and keep your area clean and safe? Skilled with overhead cranes and material handling equipment? Role Snapshot Title: Grind Operator (Grade III – Skilled) Shift: 1st shift Location: Rock Hill Pay & Schedule Hourly: $24.00 – $26.00 Weekly Pay Full-Time, 4-Day Workweek: Monday–Thursday, 5:00am–3:30pm What You’ll Do Set up and operate manual lathes and cylindrical grinders to meet production specifications. Execute rubber grinding with consistency and precision. Measure and verify parts with a pi tape and tape measure. Complete inspection reports using computer systems. Operate overhead cranes safely and follow company safety policies. Keep your work area organized and clean. Qualifications Manual lathe operation experience (required). Rubber grinding experience (strongly preferred). Accurate use of pi tape and tape measure. Basic computer data entry skills for inspections. Overhead crane experience. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and team-oriented mindset.
