This is a rare opportunity to lead and scale a Warehouse &
Distribution operation at a pivotal stage of growth. The ideal
leader is a proven operator who brings both strategic perspective

being deeply engaged with the operation, the people, and the
details that drive performance. In this role, you will own the
Warehouse & Distribution function end-to-end, architecting the
organization, implementing world-class processes, and leading
advanced automation initiatives to support Thorne’s growth toward
approximately $1B in revenue. You will build a high-performing,
safety-first operation that delivers exceptional quality,
reliability, and cost efficiency, while developing strong teams and
a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This role
offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on how Thorne
scales, operates, and serves its customers. This is an on-site
position located at our Summerville, South Carolina Distribution
Facility. RESPONSIBILITIES Owns the Warehouse & Distribution
function end-to-end and architects the organization to scale
reliably toward ~$1B in revenue. Leads SOP creation, change
control, deviation management, and CAPA execution to maintain
audit-ready compliance in a regulated environment. Serves as a
highly visible, physically present leader who spends significant
time on the floor driving standards, culture, and execution. Works
with Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Channel Management to
manage relationships with strategic distribution partners. Partners
cross-functionally on transportation strategy, carrier RFPs, and
cost-to-serve optimization. Leads automation strategy and execution
(e.g., AutoStore or equivalent GTP, AMRs/AGVs, WES/LMS, advanced
WMS slotting, conveyor/sortation) from business case through
stabilization. Converts dashboards into clear actions using
throughput, accuracy, labor productivity, uptime, safety, and cost
metrics. Runs multiple complex programs in parallel using
disciplined project management (RACI, RAID, critical path, stage
gates). Owns inventory integrity systems including ABC cycle
counting, root cause analysis, CAPA, and GL reconciliation to
sustain ?98–99% accuracy. Ensures automation and material handling
systems meet uptime and performance targets. Leads a
high-performance team, develops and strengthens staff, and provides
ongoing coaching and feedback. Evaluates and scales the
organizational structure including supervisor/lead layers,
Inventory Control, Training, and Safety functions. Responsible for
overseeing the cleanliness and organizational structure of the
warehouse, using industry best practices, and for adherence to all
Company and OSHA safety standards. WHAT YOU NEED Bachelor’s Degree
required. Graduate degree preferred. Advanced operations,
engineering, or supply chain education preferred. 7 years of
site-level ownership of a distribution center or multi-site
operation and direct accountability for performance. Must be
automation-native, with hands-on experience delivering automation
initiatives end to end (business case through stabilization),
including technologies such as AutoStore/GTP, AMRs/AGVs, WES/LMS,
advanced WMS slotting, and conveyor/sortation systems. Proven
ability to lead in high-growth, multi-channel environments while
running 3–6 major projects in parallel using structured program
management disciplines (RACI/RAID, critical path, stage gates) and
crisp, effective stakeholder communication. Strong data fluency;
ability to translate analytics into operational decisions and
sustained results including inventory management software
Demonstrated leadership in inventory integrity, including ABC cycle
counts, recount triggers, root cause analysis and corrective
actions, systemic process improvements, and general ledger
reconciliation; ability to consistently maintain 98–99% inventory
accuracy. Experience with transportation and parcel operations,
including exposure to TMS platforms, carrier RFP processes,
contract negotiations, and cost-to-serve optimization initiatives.
Experience operating in high-growth environments, supporting rapid
expansion across channels, SKUs, and facilities while maintaining
operational performance, quality, and safety during peak periods.
