Position Summary: This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies. This role requires a foundational knowledge of the mainframe platform and applications running legacy code such as COBOL. Knowledge of Deposit products, process flows, and end to end application interactions is needed. An understanding of and experience with 3270 green screens, specifically BOSS screens, is preferred. Responsibilities: Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt Guides the team on work breakdown and execution Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices) Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 to 5 years of job related experience required . Working knowledge and understanding of mainframe environment Strong proficiency working within Agile practices Solution Design: Demonstrated ability to design and develop significant application components; experienced in performing code reviews Solution Delivery Process: Strong understanding of cross?functional roles throughout the delivery lifecycle and ability to engage appropriately Test Engineering: Proven ability to design and develop both manual and automated test plans; experienced in performing test plan reviews Governance & Stakeholder Management: Able to set agendas, define required governance artifacts, and incorporate customer/stakeholder feedback to drive effective engagement Influences Decisions: Effectively uses factual and emotional reasoning to influence outcomes; collaborates with stakeholders and senior leaders to achieve alignment Solid working knowledge of MS 365 products Basic familiarity with Jira for tracking and workflow management DevOps & Release Automation: Subject matter expertise in CI/CD, bank standards, and best practices; ability to configure tools and processes to support DevOps strategies Risk Management: Ability to identify risks and dependencies, quantify impacts, and recommend or apply appropriate controls Analytical Thinking: Strong capability to identify root causes and solve complex issues in high?pressure or unstable situations Promotes Collaboration: Engages effectively within and across teams; seeks input and drives a collaborative working approach Achieves Sustainable Results: Sets KPIs for teams; makes technology decisions that support long?term business value Desired Qualifications: Highly detail?oriented with strong organizational skills Skills: Automation Influence Result Orientation Stakeholder Management Technical Strategy Development Architecture Business Acumen Risk Management Solution Delivery Process Solution Design Agile Practices Analytical Thinking Collaboration Data Management DevOps Practices Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) Hours Per Week: 40 Pay Transparency details US - NJ - Jersey City - 101 Hudson St - 101 Hudson (NJ2101) Pay and benefits information Pay range $106,500.00 - $173,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
