Looking for an opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive
scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed,
multi-tenant cloud environment? Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
group is a new ground-up effort to build best in class
Infrastructure-as-a-Service that operates at a high scale in a
broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment to enable our
customers to run their business optimally. These are exciting times
in our space - we are growing fast, still at a relatively early
stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. Come join us on a
brand new team at OCI - Software Assurance Gateways.
We are building a new Software Assurance Gateway team at OCI and
are looking for a hands-on technical and people leader for our
organization. Our mission is to build and operate a set of gateway
services to ensure the security and integrity of the services
running within a customer's tenancy. The team will develop,
maintain and operationalize this new class of services with a high
degree of resiliency, scalability and performance to meet the
critical business needs of our customers
Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager of Software Development, you will own and
manage a team of software engineers responsible for the software
architecture and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud
Infrastructure. You will be responsible for planning, designing,
developing and executing software designs & solutions, working in
collaboration with architects, customers and technical program
managers to achieve this goal. You should be comfortable with
diving deep to solve technical problems while at the same time have
the ability to think big and provide the vision for the technology
space. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a
collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.
Basic Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
involving coding or equivalent practical experience
Knowledge of full life-cycle software engineering practices
including coding standards, testing, project management and
operations.
5+ years of experience in developing cloud or online services
3+ years of experience leading a team of software engineers.
Proficiency in technical system design, operational best practices
and a major object-oriented programming language
Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a
sense of ownership, and drive
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong in problem solving abilities.
Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform
(e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
Experience working in an operational environment with
mission-critical tier-one livesite servicing
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical
skills including the ability to communicate complex, interactive
design concepts clearly and persuasively across different
audiences.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific
to the stated location(s)
California Pay Range: from $121,900 to $285,400 per annum. May be
eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Colorado Pay Range: from $112,300 to $256,900 per annum. May be
eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
New York City Pay Range: from $127,600 to $271,100 per annum. May
be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Washington Pay Range: from $142,600 to $271,100 per annum. May be
eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to
account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market
conditions, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products,
industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the
preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years
of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working
between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20
hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire.
Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each
year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
