OBJECTIVE:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing and upholding human resources policies and compensation programs, recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training staff within the department, overseeing the daily workflow of the department and all aspects of the human resources information system, and providing guidance on discipline, termination, and transition of employees to supervisors in accordance with company policy. The employee may be asked to cross train in other areas of the Corporate Services division to assist when needed. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED:

  • Oversee all payroll functions and maintain the ability to handle issues when they arise (providing support to the payroll specialist when needed)
  • Oversee employee data & recordkeeping within the HRIS system
  • Oversee all training functions including but not limited to: LMS provider relationship, MFA University content strategy & implementation, Paycom training webinars, in-house training development (instructor led, web-based, and blended learning)
  • Contribute and oversee all new and existing training programs including but not limited to: Customer Experience Training, Sales Academy, Supervisory Training, and Soft Skill Development
  • Oversee all recruitment functions including but not limited to: Applicant Tracking, Offer Letters, New Hire Processes, Career Fairs, Relocation Agreements
  • Oversee all student programs including but not limited to: AG Experience, State Tech- Custom Applicator Program, North Central Missouri College- Ag Operators Certificate Endorsement
  • Oversee and coach employee discipline, termination and performance
  • Develop & uphold human resources policies

    OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT YOU:
    • Are available to work full time hours
    • Are available to work overtime
    • Are able to travel up to 20% of each year
    • Live in, or within commuting distance of Columbia, MO

        HIGHLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BRING:
        • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Agriculture, Business or related field
        • Knowledge of agriculture and career opportunities
        • Experience working in an HRIS (preferred)
