It's time to get on the road! We're searching for Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Travel Nurses to fill immediate openings. If this sounds great to you, and you have 2+ years of experience, keep reading and we'll make sure you get all the details.What will I do? The PACU is where patients go to recover after surgery. These patients are at their highest risk for complications during the recovery stage (heart attack, bleeding) and a major focus is on pain control during the first hour in recovery. Patients typically stay in the recovery room for 1-4 hours until they are stable enough to be discharged home or to an inpatient unit.What are the benefits? The right Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Travel Nurse will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and hold a current/active license as a registered nurse in the state of SC, in addition to current certifications in BLS and other unit specific certifications.
