Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required. A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with school nursing experience to support the health and well-being of students at a school in West Columbia, SC. This contract position offers the chance to apply your clinical expertise in a school setting, working closely with students, faculty, and families to foster a safe and healthy learning environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions - Administer medications and oversee individualized health plans in accordance with established protocols - Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records - Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student wellness and manage health concerns - Educate students and staff on health topics and preventive measures - Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide first aid as needed Qualifications and Experience: - Current RN license in South Carolina - Prior experience as a school nurse preferred - Strong knowledge of pediatric and adolescent health issues - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment - CPR and First Aid certification Location: West Columbia, South Carolina Position Type: Contract This role is ideal for a dedicated nurse seeking to make a meaningful impact in a school community while gaining valuable experience in an educational setting.
