Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Join a dynamic surgical team as a Maternity OB Surgical Tech supporting obstetric procedures in a well-equipped community hospital with 174 licensed beds. This contract role in Indian Trail, NC, offers the opportunity to specialize in OB surgical care, assisting with c-sections, vaginal deliveries, tubal ligations, and emergency hysterectomies. The position requires confidence as a solo surgical tech while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with instrumentation during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections Manage OR and patient room stocking during 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700) Provide skilled support in OB-specific surgical procedures Function independently as the sole surgical tech on shift Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, anesthesiologists, obstetricians, and pediatric specialists available on site 24/7 Desired Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience, including at least 1 year in OB-specific surgical settings Certification as a Surgical Tech (CST preferred but not required) BLS certification mandatory Comfort and experience working with pregnant patients and various OB procedures Familiarity with EPIC EMR system and Neptune cauterization equipment preferred Ability to float to a nearby facility on rare occasions with advance notice Schedule and Requirements: 12-hour night shifts: 1900-0700, three shifts per week (36 hours) Weekend rotation every other weekend 50% holiday coverage expected On-call not required Free parking provided Orientation includes 2-day department introduction About Indian Trail, NC:Indian Trail offers a welcoming community ideal for healthcare professionals seeking a balance of suburban comfort and access to urban amenities.
