Specialized care includes a well-baby nursery and a Special Care Nursery for babies needing medical monitoring, staffed by board-certified neonatologists and equipped with advanced ventilation and isolettes. Pediatric hospitalists affiliated with Levine Children's Hospital are available to ensure comprehensive care. Atrium Health Union emphasizes a family-centered environment, encouraging rooming-in and providing lactation support, along with various childbirth preparation and infant safety classes. Atrium Health Union currently sees approximately 1,400 annual deliveries. Monroe, located in Union County, is approximately 25 miles southeast of Charlotte.
