Job Description:
As a Surgical Stepdown RN at HCA Healthcare, you'll provide
critical care to postoperative patients transitioning out of
surgery, focusing on high-quality, patient-centered care. In our
fast-paced stepdown units, you will monitor patients recovering
from general and specialized surgeries, adapting to the dynamic
needs while supporting patients and their families in their
recovery processes. Monitor and assess the health status of
postoperative patients, providing timely updates to the medical
team. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any
adverse reactions. Operate and monitor medical equipment used in
patient care. Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and ancillary
staff to provide comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and
their families about postoperative care and recovery expectations.
Proficiency in using medical software for patient documentation.
Strong skills in patient assessment and critical thinking. Ability
to manage multiple patient needs simultaneously. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support
(BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Certification.
