Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,766 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI required; TNCC preferred Must-Have: General Emergency Department skillset Cardiac rhythm interpretation Experience with critical care drips Vent management IV starts TNK/TPA administration Conscious sedation Triage experience Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Emergency Department. This facility has 207 licensed beds and is recognized as a Chest Pain Center and a Stroke Center. The unit requires minimal experience and will accept first-time travelers. Common diagnoses treated include Stroke, Congestive Heart Failure, Electrolyte imbalances, Arrhythmias, Respiratory arrest, Sepsis, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Falls, and Motor Vehicle Collisions. Patient ratios are RN: 1:3-4 and CNA: 1:8-10. Support within the department includes CNA, Receptionist, Charge nurse, Phlebotomy team, and Resource Nurse as staffing allows. Hospitalist and Intensivist are available 24/7. Technology used includes an Electronic Medical Record system, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and telemetry monitoring equipment. Floating will be required based on regional needs. Weekend rotation is every other and travelers will work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off can be approved up to 6 days, excluding holidays, which must be added to the end of the contract if contracted hours cannot be met. Shift times may vary between 0700-1900, 0900-2100, 1100-2300, 1300-0100, 1500-0300, and 1900-0700. Scrub color is Navy.
