TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Duration: 26 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel UNIT: 6P Pediatric Intensive Care U MANAGER INTERVIEWS Certs Required: BLS, PALS. Experience Required: 2 years of strong high acuity Pediatric ICU experience – must be comfortable in a high acuity, fast paced environment. EPIC exp., experience with Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino device (ICP and temp monitoring device), Belmont Rapid Infuser, management of critical care vasoactive drip titration, management of invasive lines – ART lines/CVP, aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, ventilator and trach management, HOFV management, oral/nasal suctioning, g-tube/j-tube management, feeding tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, sedation and analgesic drip management, Foley insertion and management, Alaris & Medfusion pump management, bedside procedures with providers, discharge skills, CRRT experience Ability/Competency to float to Pediatric CVICU – discussed during interview RN: Varies on acuity: 2:1, 1:1, 1:2. Floating: Pediatric CVICU, NICU, Neonatal PCU, Gen Peds – will float as needed. Weekend Rotation: will be required to work 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays and 2 Mondays every 6-week schedule. The combination of the 2 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays can be grouped together or worked separately as long as those eight (8) shifts occur within the 6-week period No call for travelers, if the PICU cannot utilize them, they may be floated to PCVICU, Peds Progressive, NICU or general Peds units within LCH About TNAA TotalMed RN TotalMed is a Top Ten, travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency with the mission of igniting purpose in healthcare.
