Pay: $1,786 to $2,002 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Title- RN - MedSurg/Tele Location- Shelby NC Duration- 13 weeks Shift- 3*12 Night Shift JOB DESCRIPTION About Facility: 241 licensed beds Level 3 Trauma Teaching Hospital? No Certified Chest Pain Center Stroke Center Unit Information: Beds: 32 Average Census: 28 Minimum Years of Experience required? 18 months Med/Tele RN exp Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Total Joint Replacements, Colon resection, gallbladder, appendectomy, amputations, medical overflow, hip fractures, SBO, NG tubes Patient Ratios: RN: Days 1:4-6; Nights 1:5-6 LPN (if applicable): Days 1:4-6; Nights 1:5-6 CNA: 1:10-11, or 1:16 (depends on staffing) Required Licensure & Certifications: RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Skills required: Basic Med/Tele skillset: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, Central line management, etc. Support within the Department: CNA - Vital signs, baths, mobility, turning, blood sugars Receptionist/HUC: Rounds and secretary duties Charge nurse – Resource to assist with all nursing care Phlebotomy? Yes, other than nurse draws IV/VAT Team RT, 24/7 Hospitalist, 24/7 Intensivist, 24/7 Telemetry monitoring/tech? Yes Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Phillips Floating: Within region and scope of practice Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH) If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 2 days departmental Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other No call Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours Shift times: 0645-1900, 1845-0700 Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Other notes: Scrub Color: Navy Parking: Free TB_RN ZRHC
