Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry experience Cardiac telemetry experience Experience in managing vasoactive drips without titration Proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias Experience with central line care and management Experience with phlebotomy Experience in tracheostomy care and management Description: The registered nurse will care for a diverse patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics. The focus will be on mixed medical/surgical and intermediate care patients. Responsibilities include titrating cardiac drips and managing telemetry patients. Assignments may vary based on patient acuity and unit staffing needs. The nurse will work in an interdisciplinary environment with teams such as IV therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. Daily patient ratio will be 1:4-5. The role requires strong clinical skills in managing various medical conditions, including neuro and respiratory issues. The registered nurse must be available to work on major holidays as part of the commitment. Full compliance with orientation and training requirements is necessary to ensure timely start of duties.
