Registered Nurse - Float Pool (Med-Surg Nights) Location: Columbia,
MO Start Date: 03-02-2026 End Date: 06-01-2026 Contract Type:
Travel Contract Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night
shift), schedule varies; 36 GWW Hours per Week: 36 Candidate Pay

Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate, patient-centered
nursing care across Med-Surg, telemetry, ortho, surgical, neuro and
oncology units Float to multiple units and quickly adapt to
unit-specific workflows and patient acuity Assess and monitor
patients using telemetry and remote tele interpretation to detect
changes in condition Perform and manage vascular access including
IV insertion, PICC and central line care Manage PCA/epidural pumps,
feeding tubes, wound VACs and other specialty devices safely
Deliver airway support including CPAP/BiPAP and trach care when
needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop
and implement individualized care plans Document care accurately,
communicate changes in patient status, and provide patient/family
education Qualifications Active RN (Registered Nurse) licensure
Current CEU documentation required during the compliance process
Comfortable with IV insertion, central line/PICC management and
vascular device care Experience with telemetry/remote tele and
telemetry interpretation Familiarity with PCA/epidural pumps,
feeding tubes, wound VAC and airway management (CPAP/BiPAP, trach
care) Willingness to float to Med-Surg, Cardio, Ortho, Surgical,
Neuro and Oncology units Ability to manage ratios of approximately
1:6 (may go to 1:8) and to accept 8 when needed Knowledge & Skills
Med-Surg nursing and telemetry principles IV therapy, vascular
access and central line care Telemetry monitoring and
interpretation (remote tele experience a plus) PCA/epidural pump
management and infusion pump proficiency Airway management
including CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care Feeding tube care and
wound VAC management Orthopedics basics (traction, CPM) and safe
patient handling (lifts, gait belts) Cardiology, neurology and
oncology nursing fundamentals CO2 monitoring and standard line
