Job Description Job Description Position Summary Medical
Associates Plus (MAP) is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner
(NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide comprehensive internal
medicine services to adult patients. The selected provider will
deliver both scheduled and same-day care, focusing on the
prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic
conditions. The NP or PA serves as a primary care provider,
educator, and clinical partner, working collaboratively with
physicians, nursing staff, and care teams to ensure high-quality,
patient-centered care. All services are delivered in accordance
with federal and state regulations and within MAP policies,
protocols, and clinical standards. Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive internal medicine care, including management
of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, and
cardiovascular disease. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care
to diverse adult patient populations. Conduct physical
examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe
medications within scope of practice. Provide preventive care
services, health screenings, and patient education. Manage acute
illnesses and same-day patient needs. Educate patients and families
on treatment plans, disease management, and lifestyle
modifications. Document patient encounters accurately and timely in
the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with physicians,
nurses, care coordinators, and behavioral health providers to
support care coordination. Support quality improvement initiatives,
risk management, and regulatory compliance. Participate in call
coverage and clinic operations as needed. Qualifications Education
and Licensure Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or
Physician Assistant program. Current, unrestricted NP or PA license
in the state of practice. National certification in an appropriate
specialty (e.g., FNP, ANP, AGNP, or NCCPA certification). BLS/CPR
certification required; ACLS preferred. DEA registration or
eligibility required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong
clinical assessment and diagnostic skills in internal medicine.
Ability to manage complex chronic disease populations. Ability to
work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced
outpatient setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical
documentation. Commitment to patient-centered care, quality
improvement, and continuous learning. Ability to prioritize tasks,
manage competing demands, and maintain professionalism under
pressure. Physical Requirements Ability to perform clinical duties
with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequent standing,
walking, and use of hands; occasional bending, kneeling, or
reaching. Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity
sufficient for patient care and documentation. Working Conditions
Work performed primarily in an outpatient internal medicine clinic.
Exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and
clinical environments. Occasional extended hours or weekend
