Overview: The Nurse Manager leads the veterinary nursing team
across all clinical departments, with a primary focus on the
Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) unit. This role ensures the
delivery of high-quality patient care, efficient clinical
operations, and effective staff management. The Nurse Manager
collaborates closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO),
Specialists, and Veterinarians to balance clinical priorities with
operational goals. Reporting Structure: Reports to: Chief Operating
Officer (COO) Leads: Nursing team across all departments, with
direct oversight of ECC Key Responsibilities: Hospital Operations:
Oversee daily clinical operations in coordination with the COO.
Conduct annual audits to identify workflow bottlenecks and reduce
patient wait times. Implement time-management and scheduling
strategies to improve efficiency. Ensure all staff are trained and
compliant with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). ECC Service
Management: Ensure full ECC nurse coverage for 24/7 operations with
minimal staffing gaps. Optimize emergency shift planning and
resource allocation using data-driven tools. Enhance triage and
intake processes for faster emergency response. Monitor ECC KPIs
including patient outcomes and satisfaction. Lead ongoing training
for ECC staff in high-pressure decision-making. Facilitate
effective collaboration between ECC and other hospital departments.
Standardize documentation and handovers to ensure continuity of
care. Benchmark ECC recovery rates and identify areas for
improvement. Human Resources & Workforce Planning: Lead mentorship
and training programs for nursing staff across departments. Promote
diversity and inclusion in recruitment and workplace practices.
Address staff concerns and disciplinary matters in coordination
with the COO. Manage schedules, attendance, and leave to ensure
consistent staffing. Partner with universities for internship and
externship opportunities. Participate in hiring and evaluation of
nursing team members. Desired Qualifications & Skills: Degree or
diploma in veterinary nursing or general nursing. Advanced
veterinary nursing certifications (e.g., Cert III or Cert IV)
preferred. Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience
in veterinary nursing. Strong background in patient care, team
leadership, and clinical operations. Excellent communication,
mentoring, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of veterinary
healthcare protocols and compliance standards. About the Hospital:
