Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a qualified SLP Therapy Team Leader to oversee our speech-language pathology team and ensure the highest quality of care at our inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient facilities. This dynamic role involves supervising SLP staff, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and maintaining the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will be a clinical expert in speech-language pathology with a strong focus on patient outcomes and team leadership. Supervise and mentor SLP staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Develop and implement therapy programs that meet the needs of patients and comply with regulatory standards. Coordinate therapy services with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary. Manage team resources and schedules to optimize patient outcomes and department efficiency. Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards applicable to SLP practice in a healthcare setting. Participate in the hiring and training of new team members. Lead quality improvement initiatives within the therapy department. Expert knowledge of speech-language pathology practices and principles. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and implement effective therapy programs. Proficient in using healthcare information systems. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). CPR certification.
