Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Columbia, Missouri,

weekends and 50% of holidays during the contract Description: The
role involves providing care for medical-surgical patients in an
overflow unit. Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7. The unit
services various admitting physician teams. Common diagnoses
include diabetes, congestive heart failure, COPD, renal disease,
orthopedic fractures, and neurological deficits. General floor care
procedures and skills required include IV therapy, administration
of labs, managing nasogastric tubes, and wound care. Assisting
physicians with bedside procedures and conscious sedation is also
part of the role. The position demands physical activity, including
ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing over 20 lbs.
Staff may encounter patients with contagious illnesses. Flexibility
in scheduling, including rotating shifts and working in inclement
weather, is essential. Charge duties may be required on the floor.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various teams,
including therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response. Floating to other
units may be mandatory, including duties as a Patient Observer.
