Medical Oncology Job Details Position Type: Locum Tenens Medical Oncology Physician Location: Greenville, SC 29601 – South Carolina oncology jobs in a thriving downtown setting Practice Setting: Free-standing cancer center Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour days) Hours per Week: 40 Estimated Weekly Salary: $7,100 – $8,410 Assignment Duration: 13-week contract, with potential extension Call Schedule: No call required during locum period Start Date: January 19, 2026 Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 60 days Medical Oncology Physician Qualifications Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology Active South Carolina medical license (or willingness to obtain for South Carolina healthcare jobs) BLS and DEA certification Clean background for emergency credentialing Current NPDB report Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in medical oncology Medical Oncology Physician Responsibilities Manage patient population: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology Provide outpatient and inpatient oncology care (average 25 outpatients, 20 inpatients daily) Participate in tumor board discussions Oversee bone marrow transplant management and blood bank orders Order diagnostic tests and imaging for oncology patients Prescribe therapies and medications for cancer and hematology patients Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team of 7 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers Ensure safe chemotherapy administration (performed by nurse oncologists) Document patient care using EPIC EMR Join our healthcare team in Greenville, SC and make a difference in oncology care.
