every week Key Responsibilities of the Travel MICU Nurse Provide
specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical
Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Monitor patients' condition, vital
signs, and intravenous lines, and initiate appropriate
interventions as needed Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to
individual patient needs Administer medications, monitor responses,
and effectively manage any adverse reactions Utilize advanced life
support equipment and techniques, including ventilators, cardiac
monitors, and hemodynamic monitoring devices Handle complex
procedures, such as central line placements, arterial lines, and
mechanical ventilation Document patient care accurately and
thoroughly using electronic medical records systems Educate
patients and their families on treatment options, follow-up care,
and self-management techniques Provide emotional support to
patients and their families during stressful times Adhere to all
hospital protocols, safety guidelines, and infection control
measures Requirements of the Travel MICU Nurse Active North
Carolina or Compact RN license Current BLS, ACLS, and other
relevant critical care certifications Minimum of 2 years' recent
