Job Description:

registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse
with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) expertise to provide
exceptional care in a fast-paced, Level 3/4 NICU setting. This
contract position is located in Monroe, NC, offering nurses the
chance to work with a high-acuity patient population in a
well-equipped, multidisciplinary environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates
with complex diagnoses such as respiratory distress syndrome,
congenital heart defects, seizures, necrotizing enterocolitis, and
more. - Manage advanced technologies and treatments, including
mechanical ventilation, vasoactive drips, invasive lines, CRRT, and
infant ECMO support. - Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary
teams including intensivists, APPs, respiratory therapists, and
bedside educators. - Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC
electronic medical record system. - Provide education and discharge
planning for patients and families. - Adhere to aseptic and sterile
techniques, perform bedside procedures, and manage specialized
devices such as EVDs and ICP monitors. - Float to Pediatric CVICU,
PICU, or General Pediatrics units as needed based on experience.
Preferred Qualifications: - Active Registered Nurse license with
BLS and NRP certification. - Minimum two years of strong Level 3 or
Level 4 NICU experience in a high-acuity setting. - Proficiency
with critical care equipment and advanced neonatal therapies. -
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and scheduled shifts from 6:45
am to 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm to 7:15 am with a rotating 6-week schedule
cycle. - Manager approval required for first-time travel nurses.
