Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required License: NC or Compact License Required Certifications: ACLS Required Must-Have: - Cardiac drip experience - IV start - Telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias and EKG rhythms Description: We are seeking a skilled registered nurse for a cardiac telemetry unit. The unit services a high volume of cardiac telemetry and Med/Surg patients, particularly those with congestive heart failure (CHF). The daily patient ratios are 1:5-6, with a census of approximately 28 patients. Candidates must have significant experience with cardiac drips and closely monitor vital signs. The unit is fast-paced, requiring vigilance to detect patient decompensation. All candidates will be required to float to other medical-surgical areas as needed. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. Previous experience in cardiac step down or post-procedural care is highly preferred. Candidates will participate in bedside cardioversion with the electrophysiology physician when needed. This position requires excellent teamwork and communication skills to ensure optimal patient care. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of the assignment.
