Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years; first timers not accepted License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required Must-Have: Candidates must have full compliance to start on time. Description: Our Emergency Department serves a patient population from adolescents to geriatrics. The unit is a very large and busy facility with high acuity cases. It is certified for Stroke and STEMI treatment. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, with an average census of 165-175 patients per day. Candidates must have experience with Epic and Pyxis systems. Navy blue scrubs are required for this position. Floating to other areas is rare. Weekend shifts are expected every other weekend. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work two out of three. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Full compliance is necessary prior to the start date; non-compliance may delay the start by two weeks due to orientation scheduling. The clinical screening process will evaluate candidates for clinical fit. References from two supervisory positions are highly preferred. Candidates must be available to complete core items and schedule necessary labs within 48 hours of signing the contract.
