Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 (08:45 - 21:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience; traveler experience accepted for first-time travelers License: NC or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, ARRT(R)(CT) Must-Have: - GE & Siemens Scanner experience (model name is the FORCE) - Experience with CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction - Skills in inpatient, ER, and adult ICU Description: This position is for a CT Technologist working in a fast-paced emergency department. The role involves performing routine scans on emergency department patients, including trauma cases and code stroke patients. The technologist will utilize Siemens scanners proficiently. Daily caseload is estimated to be between 150-200 scans across 4 rooms. The typical caseload for one technologist during an 8-hour shift ranges from 8 to 12 patients. Weekend shifts are required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with no RTO allowed during weekends. The position entails working in a collaborative environment with multiple technicians during shifts. Candidates should be comfortable with patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. Expect a very fast-paced setting requiring strong time management and technical skills. Patient diagnoses will vary widely, necessitating a diverse skill set. This position does not require a call or float requirement. Availability for interviews is required when submitting candidates. RTO policies are strict, including no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment. Travel pairs are allowed but must work on different units. Candidates must be comfortable floating based on the needs of the department. References from previous managers/supervisors are highly preferred.
