TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28277! Pay Information $1,887 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience License: NC or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: Recent ICU experience Skills in IV Start, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Titration of Cardiac Drips, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Feeding Tube Management, Heparin Protocols, PCA, CVA Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation and DNR. The unit requires someone with recent ICU experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience is needed. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted. Skills required include IV Start, Telemetry, and management of cardiac drips. Experience with rapid response teams and feeding tube management is essential. Certifications in ACLS and BCLS are required. Preferred skills include experience with MS/Tele, titrating vasoactive drips, and care of ventilated patients. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 4 weekends per 6-week schedule. Patient diagnoses in the Intermediate Critical Care unit include DKA, Sickle Cell, Sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Pneumonia, Heart Failure, and Stroke. The unit provides specialized care and functions as a rapid response. Experience with special equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and Optiflow is advantageous. Floater requirements apply as needed, for Med Surg with a 1:6 ratio. All missed shifts should be made up within the same week, if possible. Any missed shifts should be added to the end of the contract if not made up. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty. Charting experience, especially with Epic, is preferred.
