qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28277!
Pay Information $1,887 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13
weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2
years of recent ICU experience License: NC or Compact license
required at time of start Certifications: ACLS, BCLS required
Must-Have: Recent ICU experience Skills in IV start, telemetry,
cardiac telemetry, titration of cardiac drips Experience with rapid
response teams, feeding tube management, Heparin protocols, and PCA
Ability to care for ventilated patients Description: This position
is for a registered nurse in the ICU. The nurse will provide
specialized care for patients with conditions such as DKA, sickle
cell, sepsis, respiratory distress, pneumonia, heart failure, and
stroke. Ratios are 1:4 for this unit. Weekend shifts are required,
with at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. The unit
functions as a rapid response unit. Nurses will float to other
units as needed, including Med Surg with a 1:6 ratio. Candidates
must be comfortable floating and should not have any restrictions.
The unit uses specialized equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and
Optiflow. Self-scheduling is available, balanced and approved by
staffing. All scrub colors should be navy or a combination of navy
and white. Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting this
