Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Oncology - Discipline:RN - Duration:13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift:8 hours, days - Employment Type:Travel - VMS ID: 691 HIGHLIGHTS: - Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years - Will accept a first-time traveler: Depends on background, will consider - Required certifications: PALS/BLS, APHON - Must have experience with infusions for Peds population - Pediatric Oncology and Hematology in Outpatient setting experience required - If traveler is currently working Inpatient, but has strong Outpatient experience previously, will consider - Weekend rotation: every 4th weekend - No call - Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays - RTO: Manager approval - Shift times: or parts of that - department has 8, 9, and 10 hours shifts - Scheduled days during the week will vary - No floating required - Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit ADDITIONAL DETAILS: - Patient Ratios: RN: 1:3 - Orientation: NEO and 2-3 days departmental MORE INFORMATION: - Location: 945 N. 5th St., Albemarle, NC - Facility Type: Outpatient Infusion Center - Beds: 25 outpatient Infusion rooms and 2 procedure rooms - Run typically at 50-60% capacity daily - Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Infusions/treatments for Hematology, Oncology, Neuro Onc, GI and Endocrine etc. - Support within the Department: - CNA - Rooming patients and vitals - Receptionist/HUC: Yes - Charge nurse: Yes - Phlebotomy: No - IV/VAT Team: Yes - Resource Nurse: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Hospitalist 24/7: AP Providers in house during open hours - Technology/Equipment: - EMR: Epic - IV Pump: Alaris - Med dispensing: Omnicell - Monitors: GE - Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks - Scrub Color: Navy Blue can have Ped friendly tops but need Navy Blue or White undershirt - Parking: Free - Unit Culture: Great!
