This role integrates *clinical expertise, education, consulting, case management, and research* to improve patient outcomes while advancing best practices.*Key responsibilities include:** Monitoring patient care and providing *clinical support* to improve outcomes* Developing and implementing *nursing care plans* specific to patient needs* *Guiding and supporting nursing staff* through clinical decision-making* Functioning as a *facilitator for best practice*, evaluating processes and equipment for *safety, cost-effectiveness, and benefits** Collaborating with healthcare teams on *complex clinical situations** Providing *one-on-one education* for nursing staff* Leading quality improvement initiatives through *evidence-based practice and research**Minimum Qualifications:** *Education:* Bachelor of Science in Nursing* *Experience:* Minimum *4 years* of acute care nursing experience* *Required Certifications/Licensure: *Active *RN license issued by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing *Graduation from an accredited *certification program in specialty (must be obtained within six months). *Maintains certification in BLS and other certifications as appropriate such as ACLS and PALS.*Essential Functions:*The *Clinical Specialist II* plays a *leadership role* in shaping nursing practice, providing hands-on patient care, mentoring staff, and driving improvements in clinical standards.
