the University of Missouri -- Columbia (MU), Mason Eye Clinic, and
MU Healthcare has an immediate opening for an Ophthalmic
Hospitalist at the assistant professor or higher on non-tenure
track level.Job Details: -
- Focus will be on patient care and teaching, with opportunities
for research and a limited clinical practice.
- This role could require staffing of surgeries during daytime
hours (i.e. open globes).
- Duties will include: -
- Care of emergency
- Triage and consultation of patients
- Leadership in the ophthalmic emergency care and inpatient
services
- The position will hold their own clinic/OR infrequently
throughout the month and train residents and fellows and will have
support from a full complement of subspecialist ophthalmologist
colleagues. Qualifications: -
- Completion of an approved ophthalmology residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility, and eligibility for
licensure in Missouri are prerequisites.
- Must be able to obtain medical staff credentialing with
MU.
