Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a dynamic and talentedLead Mental Health Techfor 1st shift. Three Rivers Midlands is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential, partial hospitalization and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 6-21 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency related illnesses.

Job Requirements In addition to Residential Counselor/Mental Health Technician duties, works closely with the Charge Nurse and Program Manager to ensure, coordinate, educate, and communicate assignments for patient care, equipment and unit cleaning, safety, observation, documentation, problems and emergency situations Plan and organize unit assignments with charge nurse (breaks, transportation, activities, rounds, school code responses, meal coverage, treatment teams, etc.) to ensure the delivery of quality care to all children and adolescent residents. Ensures appropriate paperwork is completed for assigned shift (24 hour report, daily report/special precautions notification form, incident reports, progress notes, etc.) Holds staff meetings on a regular basis to discuss complex plans, outline new goals & objectives, review problem areas and disseminate administrative information. Lead shift briefings and complete daily shift reports to leadership and clinical teams. Assists in the completion of employee performance appraisals as requested by Program Manager. In conjunction with Nurse, initiates Supervisory & Corrective Action as necessary, in compliance with established policies and procedures, and with the collaboration with Human Resources. Assists in the orientation/training of new employees. This includes being available to answer questions and to serve as a mentor to that new hire, as assigned. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team and discharge planning. Exhibits professionalism at all times with staff, residents, visitor, and guests. Requirements: Associates Degree with at least one year direct experience working with adolescents and children in an RTF, educational/juvenile setting. At least one year demonstrated supervisory experience. Associates Degree in psychology or a related field with at least one year direct experience working with adolescents and children in an RTF/educational/juvenile setting. At least one year demonstrated supervisory experience. Strongly prefer Bachelor's Degree. Must possess demonstrated leadership ability, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals, strong oral and written communication skills. Must possess knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, adolescent growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, CPI and CPR. Requires valid SC driver?s license in good standing. Requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
