This is a unique opportunity tobe given educational and clinical training in areas such as the Emergency Department,Critical Care, and Cardiovascular Recovery. This residency will allow newgraduates to obtain specific experience through an intensive program and thentransition to staff roles within the Respiratory Care Department at ProvidenceHealth. The program willstart in February 2021.RespiratoryTherapy Residency Program overview:* Hands-on experience with equipment and mentoring. * Clinical training and instruction. * Clinical training may consist of day, night and weekend shifts. * Offers one-on-one clinical education provided in each patient care area that is formally structured using pathways and specific timelines.* Receive mentorship from a nurse and respiratory educator.* Attend trainings designed to stimulate critical thinking skills.* Participate in classroom activities that address key clinical topics.Job Requirements:ProgramRequirements* Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.* South Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license must be active prior to start date.* Required Certification: Certified or Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).* BLS (American Heart Association) required prior to start date.* New Grad to 12 months of hospital RT experience.* Available to work the schedule of your preceptor throughout orientation.Founded as Providence Hospitals in 1938--by the Sistersof Charity of St. Augustine, Providence's two free standing full-servicehospitals and numerous satellite practices maintain a true devotion to advancedclinical expertise and unmatched compassion.
