Role Summary/Purpose

The NAM Radiography Large Systems Sales Director will lead a team of Sales Managers and Technical Sales to drive sales growth in Phoenix and XRTM Radiography equipment and services. They will provide regionals sales leadership for a segment within the Inspection Technologies North America Commercial Team with the goal to drive long-term growth and customer relationships for the Inspection Technologies (IT) business. This role will be responsible for approximately $40 - 55MM in annual orders operating plan.

Essential Responsibilities

In the role of NAM Radiography Large Systems Sales Director, you will:

  • Work with the Regional Sales Leader, other Team Leaders, and Sales Managers to establish orders and sales targets for the region
  • Establish operating plan targets (OP) for Sales Managers to address the viability of the customer, territory and / or industry segment and achieve overall orders and CM growth targets
  • Lead the sales team and channel manager to develop unique business plans for each territory and / or industry segment including: key customers, product campaigns, and aftermarket solution strategies leveraging the resources available (key account managers, technical sales managers, aftermarket sales team, inside sales and channel partners)
  • Commercialize New Product Introductions (NPIs) and support product management team with recommendations of future NPI investments, key marketing and trade show needs within region to grow market share
  • Grow installed base penetration and support of customers through strategic commercial and life cycle management solutions
  • Provide management and oversight for the IT Technical Sales / Product Specialists within the NAM region
  • Work with the supply chain and services organizations to ensure timely delivery of film and Large Systems Radiography products and services to NAM customers
  • Provide regular updates of operating plan status, key commercial opportunities and other key metrics utilizing business tools including SFDC / Deal Machine, blue sheets, Tableau, etc.
  • Provide periodic Sales and Channel Manager skills assessment and feedback via GE Performance Development to drive productivity and effectiveness of the team

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a sales leader / manager

      Eligibility Requirements
      • Travel up to 50% of the time, as required
      • Ability to work overtime, as required

        Desired Characteristics
        • Knowledge of inspections and non-destructive testing devices and solutions
        • Team leadership / management experience
        • Demonstrated ability to execute and drive results
        • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills to lead in matrix organization
        • Excellent sales skills, with the ability to teach, train, motivate others
        • Strong leadership skills with the ability to make quick and difficult decisions
        • Strong problem solving skills, with an emphasis on innovative and creative solutions that result in higher profitability
        • Strong analytical and forecasting skills and knowledge of all business reports, including in-depth knowledge of financial statements
        • Experience communicating with both internal and external customers
        • Professional experience within North America and with customers in this region
        • Proactive work style, creativity, high-energy
        • Effective team builder with accountability for regional performance
        • Six Sigma Green Belt (GE employees only)

          • Cincinnati, OH is the preferred location, however all U.S. locations may be considered
