Job Description
Assists Credit Administration Assistant Vice President in the daily
and long-term operations of the department, including day-to-day
decisions, staffing adjustments and visioning for the future.
Maintains full knowledge of the lending process in order to assist
department and division personnel with various job duties,
functions, and questions. Serves as system specialist and
documentation specialist when needed. Responsible for daily
supervision of departmental employees. Assists with the preparation
of management reports and coordinates and/or assists with special
projects including implementation of company-wide initiatives at
the market-level. In addition to information security initiatives
within the department, the Manager will be responsible for
compliance with banking regulations which are applicable to the
lending process. Responsible for hiring, evaluating, and managing
performance of department staff, including completion of annual
performance reviews, annual increase decisions, and corrective
action, if necessary. Monitors employee production and behavior to
identify trends and areas for improvement. Responsible for setting
department goals and strategic initiatives, monitoring progress and
reporting on those goals and initiatives. Must be a role model for
the staff by projecting a positive example and attitude, and
creating a team work environment in fulfilling the department and
division objectives. Conducts relationships and activities
consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems,
the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable
State and Federal laws and regulations.
DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES AUTHORITY:
Responsible for advising the Credit Administration AVP about the
daily activities of the department. Performs the daily supervision
and scheduling of departmental staff and staff development;
encourages the expansion of job knowledge and career development,
gives feedback to departmental employees on a regular basis
regarding their job performance. Completes performance plans and
appraisals. Strives to create an overall positive attitude and work
environment. Has the authority make hiring decisions and to counsel
departmental staff when disciplinary measures are needed. Develops
expert knowledge in processing and documentation, including the
loan processing software and loan systems. Responsible for backing
up individual positions within the department when staffing levels
are insufficient. Has the authority to make processing and
documentation decisions as well as decisions regarding procedural
issues. Responsible for communicating procedural changes, new
issues, etc. with department personnel. Assists with the training
of new departmental staff members. The Manager will be a primary
contact for Consolidated Loan Operations personnel. Responsible for
resolving issues and answering questions on a daily basis in
regards to work sent to CLO. Works closely with the Credit
Administration AVP in developing departmental processes and
procedures, and communicating any such changes to other lending or
bank personnel as required. Responsible for compliance with all
banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank
Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree and banking experience with previous
lending/operational experience strongly preferred. Requires high
levels of management, analytical, communication, and leadership
skills. Develops and maintains knowledge of the lending process in
order to assist department and division personnel with job duties,
functions, and questions. Must have a great deal of knowledge on
the loan system and the loan processing software. Must be able to
answer questions and resolve issues. Must have knowledge of banking
regulations and how they relate to departmental work.
