Our company offers a variety of inclusive programs for all employees including: Inclusion & Diversity Council, LII Women's Business Council (LWBC), LII Employees of African Descent (LEAD), LII Young Professionals Association (LYPA), Allied Alliance (AA) and P.R.I.D.E.Job DescriptionThe Director, Sales Operations, Allied Air--located in Columbia, SC, assists the Vice President of Sales in driving successful implementation of sales programs, projects, as well as overall sales process improvement.--The role is highly visible, influential, and critical to achieving success in our growing business.This leader is responsible for facilitating the creation, production and delivery of sales forecasts, advanced analysis and reporting, CRM expansion and integration, sales deals process and profitability, incentive and commission compensation design, as well as field-facing tools that drive sales efficiency across all channels and segments-residential, commercial, Magic-Pak and parts.Job SummarySales Operations * Recommends changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on market research and new trends. Recommends revisions to existing reports and assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed to support senior leaders and management goals. Directs the activity of the Sales Operations team.* Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and works closely with sales leaders to inspect sales process quality and prioritize areas for improvement. * Drives the development and implementation of enabling technologies, including CRM to the field sales organizations.* Responsible for coordinating the creation, production and delivery of sales forecasts, advanced analysis, and reporting in support of the sales planning process and sales of the company's products and services.* Develops and supports the equitable assignment of sales quotas and collects and analyzes data to evaluate current sales goals. * Communicate informed recommendations and conclusions.* Design models to solve business challenges.Company Success* Participates in new product development, demand and supply planning and other critical business operations functions* Researches and evaluates economic conditions that may affect the organization's ability to sell products, protect/increase market share, penetrate new markets, and maintain/improve operating margins.* Works closely with Finance, Human Resources, and Sales Management to develop the yearly sales incentive compensation plans and to assist in administering these plans throughout the year.* Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company sales and growth initiatives.* Working with marketing to guide and develop customer facing material.Leadership* Provides leadership within sales teams and cross-functionally. * Builds peer support and strong internal company relationships with other key management personnel in marketing, distribution, manufacturing operations, and the Residential Sales organization.* Works with sales, marketing and distribution for the purpose of improving operational efficiency.QualificationsJob RequirementsRequires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; an MBA or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 8 years relevant experience and at least 3 years as a people manager. This leader will have an advanced understanding of market trends and inputs and can identify likely impact on the sales of various products. Expert ability to analyze data and organize it into useful information. Requires an expert-level understanding of financial data and competitive markets. Must have expert knowledge of SAP query design, CRM systems such as Salesfore.com and Qlik, and Microsoft Office including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access. B2B Sales experience, coaching, negotiating and deal management as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. This leader will lead cross-functionally and through subordinate managers and must demonstrate strength here.
