Survey Technician Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Survey Technician in Columbia, Missouri.The Survey Technician will set-up and operate cutting edge equipment and instruments used at job sites to measure, record, and calculate data for all types of survey and asset management projects including: Infrastructure assessment, Roadway mapping and condition analysis, data compilation and findings in basic report format (MS office suite and similar), assist with CAD exhibits.Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain cutting-edge survey and mapping hardware and software
• Follow required safety standards and guidelines
• Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys
• Record the survey results and verify the accuracy of data with proper recorded field checks
• Transmit survey data results, which includes sending data to the home office from remote field locations
• Demonstrate professionalism while representing client on a given job siteRequirements:
• Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
• Required to have satisfactory results on a Motor Vehicle Record check and maintain a valid drivers license.
• Must be open to travel 25% or more to remote field locations, including overnight stays, as needed.
• Per-Diem will be provided tax-free, based on the local GSA rates.
• Perform both field and office tasks and solve problems collaboratively with others.
• Ability to work extended hours, including some weekends
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and terrain conditions
• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. and do repetitive work such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time.
• Proven experience providing excellent customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment
• Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
