Storeroom Technician

FULL-TIME

$20/hr

The Storeroom Technician is responsible for maintaining the storeroom. They are responsible for inventory control, cleanliness, documentation of the storeroom, and accurately receiving materials into the inventory system. The Storeroom Technician is responsible for being aware of inventory levels for both the production and maintenance departments and reports to the appropriate person if levels of inventory are low. This position also offers key support to Warehouse, Sourcing, Maintenance, and Production through cycle counting, raw material handling, PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicles/forklift) support, and training.
Duties include:
Creating and Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures to ensure proper set-up of the storeroom and other relevant processes
Operating industrial equipment when required (i.e. PIV/forklift, Overhead Crane, Aerial Lift)
Receiving all packages at the plant and ensuring their timely delivery to appropriate parties
Ensuring inventory accuracy through cycle counts and materials management
Ensuring items are received in the proper location
Distributing all parcels coming in from carriers
Processing returns in the inventory system
Assisting in processing repairs to be shipped out
Identifying and locating spare parts inventory
Generating reports assisting with the SPOT tool for assigning criticality to spare parts
Monitoring VMI for maintenance bins and vending machines with different suppliers
Maintaining housekeeping and physical organization of the storeroom
Using general tools (not requiring specialized training, as needed, to perform the job)
Helping identify process problems and seeks solutions CAE-03 WS-03 WS-LC
Schedule

Shift start: 8:00AM
Shift length: 8 hours
Monday - Friday, some overtime when needed

Qualifications

* Must pass drug screen
* Must pass background check
* Can lift 50 lbs
* Must be at least 18+ years old

At least 3 years working in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of SAP or other inventory management systemsIntermediate Microsoft Outlook, Excel (run reports through SAP, track metrics), and Word skills
