EquipmentShare is searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support our Robotics and Embedded Systems Teams at our headquarters in Columbia, MO.

Mechanical Designer
Concept and develop mechanical components and systems that may include multiple plastic processes, castings or forgings, stampings or laser cut parts, and welding or bonding of components.
Communication with suppliers and customers on product selection and integration
Experience with 3D modeling with Creo, SolidWorks, or similar software, including modeling of components, sheet metal and hydraulic or electrical routings.
Creation and support of 2D drawings and specification documentation
Work with manufacturing, product verification and validation, and suppliers to develop efficient and cost effective designs
Document the design solution required for production and product validation testing

Requirements
BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Strong mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience or hobbies
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to thrive in a team environment

Desired Attributes
Experience in 3-D Modeling Software; Creo 4.0 experience (Preferred)
Previous experience with Windchill or PDMLink
Strong understanding of GD&T
Design of weldments to meet AWS D1.1 requirements
Design experience or exposure to off-road mobile equipment
Ability to address quality issues, determine root cause and drive to a corrective action

Skills & Qualifications
You've got a strong knowledge of communication buses: CAN, USB, Serial, I2C, SPI.
You're capable of designing hardware solutions using PIC and ARM embedded microcontrollers.
You'll be a great communicator (verbally and with the written word) as you'll work closely with team members to review schematics and new designs.
If you're not based in Missouri, then you're willing to relocate to work at our headquarters in Columbia, MO., or our Technology Center in Kansas City, MO.
